Season 11 was when ER stopped being ER to me, this is my least favorite season for how damn boring it is. Fleeting moments of excitement weren't enough to hold ones attention and losing Corday and Chen (who deserved far better writing) and most importantly Carter, most of the old guard was gone.
In the emotional, really hard to watch type of way. Very well written though. A battered woman becomes mentally ill, can’t afford her medication, hallucinates her husband trying to break in and kill her children, and has them jump out the window, genuinely thinking she’s saving them.
Just finished rewatching ER. Even after all these years, it’s still one of the best medical dramas ever. I’ve never had any interest in Grey’s and I do like New Amsterdam, but even that doesn’t hold a candle to ER. Yes! ER might be my favourite show of all time. The first handful of seasons are amazing. It definitely drops in quality after season 8 but it picks up again in the last couple seasons. In my opinion 11-13 are the worst. Even if you can't stick it out through the rest, you will get at least 8 seasons of quality TV. Enjoy!
You would catch a random episode at a time on TV. There was no expectation of watching every single episode. Even a fan of the show might wind up catching it once every two weeks. In the modern era, streaming series are set up so each season is a meal and each episode is just one course.
