The Family was a band formed by Prince, and one of the first on Prince's record label, Paisley Park Records. [1] The band reformed as fDeluxe in 2011. This band should not be confused with a 1970s Minneapolis R&B band of the same name. [2]
Funk band. Based in Minneapolis, formed by Prince, utilizing former members of The Time without founding members Morris Day and Jesse Johnson, both of whom had started solo careers at that time, and adding Susannah Melvoin, twin sister of Prince And The Revolution guitarist Wendy Melvoin.
