Salvation Army territories are made up of areas of service known as divisions. There are 40 divisions in the U.S. – we oversee 11 of them. Divisions consist of centers for worship and service.
The Salvation Army Eastern Europe Territory is one of the fastest growing Territories. There are: Officers 97 (active 89 retired 8), Envoys 1, Cadets 5, Employees 170, Corps 36, Outposts 2, Senior Soldiers 1,228, Adherents 817, Junior Soldiers 328.
Salvation Army activities were officially recommenced in Eastern Europe in July 1991, overseen by the Norway, Iceland and The Færoes Territory with the arrival of Lieut-Colonels John and Bjorg Bjartveit. It became a distinct command in November 1992.
