Old Good Games seems to be the place to get all kinds of abandonware like The Sims 1 and The Sims 2. Just make sure you follow the instructions. Windows 10 users will have to install DirectX 9c, which I think it's included with the download. If you want to play at higher resolutions, you'll have to use THIS TOOL.

I have The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on Origin, however when I downloaded the EA App yesterday my game was replaced with The Sims 2 Deluxe and it does not work. When I try to play the game the EA app says there is an issue on EA's end and to try again later.

Since this is still EA we're talking about, if anyone has been downloading (or attempting to download) the game using EA App as of yesterday, how has your experience been?
30 Οκτ 2024 · An all-in-one installation client. Installing The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection using The Sims 2 Starter Pack is very easy. All you need to do is double-click on the .exe file and, unless you want to exclude any particular content, leave all the boxes checked. The program will take a few minutes to download all the content (about 14 GB).
