Sited on a ledge overlooking downtown Jerome, the United Verde Hospital was built by the United Verde Copper Company (UVCC) to treat the infirmities of its employees and their extended families, while the neighboring residence was built for the hospital’s chief surgeon on the lower end of Hill Street, closer to town.
This gracious home, listed on the National Historic Registry since 1966, is perched high on the mountainside overlooking the Verde Valley and the mystical Red Rock cliffs of Sedona, Arizona. Surrounded by lush, restful gardens and ponds, it’s truly a home away from home.
