Four prestigious need and merit-based awards are available through UBC’s International Scholars Program. When a student is nominated for the International Scholars Program, our team will determine which award (s) they are eligible for based on the information provided in their application.
UBC values diversity and strongly encourages dedicated international students to apply to our graduate programs. About 30% of master’s students, and 44% of doctoral students at UBC Vancouver are international students.

International students enrolled as full-time students with a valid study permit can work on campus for unlimited hours and work off-campus for no more than 20 hours a week. A good starting point to explore student jobs is the UBC Work Learn program or a Co-Op placement .
