The heart of the theremin is its circuit schematic. This is essentially a diagram showing the connection of each component within the device.
27 Ιουν 2024 · The complete JFET-based theremin circuit includes a second oscillator, a mixer, and a circuit for the volume antenna. The second oscillator is stabilized at 470 kHz by a ceramic resonator, and so it must be possible to set the adjustable oscillator to this frequency.
16 Σεπ 2007 · U1 sections A and B form the theremin's variable oscillator that operates in a frequency range around 73kHz. The antenna forms one-half of a variable capacitor that is part of this oscillator's frequency-determining network, and the player's hand forms the other half.
The oscilloscope can be connected between C2 and the input to 1C as shown in the image below. The output should be a square wave with a frequency of between 60-75 kHz. The frequency can be set by RV1 during tuning.

Gain: receives the audio output from the detector and amplifies it. Band-Pass: detects how close the output frequency is to different reference frequencies. Amplitude Processor: takes the amplitude of each Band-Pass output and turns on LED’s incrementally.
