9 Ιουν 2024 · St. Paul called sin the “old Adam,” and Luther understood it as a struggle that only ends at the grave. Behind all sin is the deep need to be in control of our own lives, choices, and actions. We recognize and appreciate God’s power over us when we fear, love, and trust God above all else.
2 nd sunday after pentecost This week the Gospel and other lessons continue our investigation into authentic discipleship. Probably this Sunday comes closest to Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s “Cheap Grace,” and book title, “The Cost of Discipleship.”
