29 Δεκ 2017 · The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services has created an interactive map containing detailed information on evacuation orders that were issued during the Thomas fire. This interactive map is available online by visiting www.venturacountyrecovers.org and selecting the Evacuation Area Lookup button.
Below is a link for a Google + GIS map for the Thomas Fire near Venture and OJai California that I produced as a public service. Do not rely on any map to ignore an order to evacuate. If you are told to leave then just GO! The circles are MODIS satellite data showing possible hotspots.
4 Δεκ 2017 · Incident Perimeter: Perimeters are generalized and do not necessarily indicate structures within the boundaries have been damaged or destroyed. Evacuation Order: An immediate threat to life. This is an order by law enforcement to leave immediately. The area is lawfully closed to public access.

Note: blue areas represent the fire perimeter earlier in its progression and red areas represent the fire perimeter later in its progression. The northernmost area of the fire indicating recent fire activity was mostly due to backburning operations conducted by firefighters.

28 Αυγ 2018 · Open a new web map, use search and enter Santa Paula, California. You can also use Thomas Aquinas College, Santa Barbara County, or Ventura County as the search string. The USA Wildfire Activity layer from the Living Atlas displays current and inactive fire locations and perimeters.
