The Pit Orchestra or Musical Band, accompanies performers in in the school musical. The band typical consists of several woodwinds and brass, drums, bass, guitar, piano, and strings. This group works to provide live music for the cast and vocalists during the musical.
First Period begins at 7:15 a.m. and the Pep Rally ends at 2:50 p.m. The Front Office/Administrative Office hours are from 6:45 a.m. until 3:10 p.m. The Paraprofessional hours are from 6:45 a.m. until 3:15 p.m. each day with a 30 minute lunch. Professional Staff hours are from 6:50 a.m. until 3:05 p.m.
Schedule pick-up will be available at our middle schools and high schools on the following dates and times: Blocker and Giles: Monday, Aug. 12 from 6-7:30 p.m. LMHS & TCHS: Information is pending.

Congratulations to the Blocker Middle School Symphonic Band! For the first time in several years, the band received a 1st division from all six judges at the UIL Region 17 Concert and Sight-Reading contest, earning them Sweepstakes! Their directors are Melissa Anderson and Brandon Dabbs.
Texas City Independent School District is a public school district based in Texas City, Texas. It serves most of Texas City and La Marque as well as a portion of Tiki Island. [2] In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency. [3]
