Why does Windows 10 refuse to synchronize the time? Everything is set to "Automatic" in Date & Time in Settings but when i try to synchronize the time i always get the error message "Time synchronization failed".

For some time, I believe more than a year, I've had a time sync issue with Windows 11. My clock was always a few minutes fast, would not sync. I tried (1) Changing CMOS battery, (2) changing the time server, (3) adjusting Registry, (4) manually adjusting time.
Go to the Control Panel (not Settings, but Control Panel) and open Date and Time. In here, switch to the Internet Time tab. Then, click "Change settings...". After that, enable "Synchronize with an Internet time server".
11 Σεπ 2023 · My Windows 11 laptop won't sync the time with any NTP time servers automatically. I've tried a few different NTP time servers, but with the same result. It syncs fine if I go into Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time and click "Sync Now". The "Set the time automatically" switch is on.
22 Νοε 2022 · In popup under Date & Time, choose Set the Time and Date. Then click on Internet Time tab, and Change Settings, tick the box to Synchronize with an Internet Time Server, change the Time server in drop down menu, then choose Update Now, then OK on small box, OK on large box.

So far, my research has led me to try the following: Set the windows time service to start automatically; Re-registered the win32 time components
12 Μαΐ 2023 · Windows' built in time synchronization does use NTP and can get millisecond precise under ideal circumstances. But it is also intended for normal desktop users where being within a minute of "true" time is fine, so it doesn't try too hard to correct small deviations.
