The chronology of the Bible is an elaborate system of lifespans, 'generations', and other means by which the Masoretic Hebrew Bible (the text of the Bible most commonly in use today) measures the passage of events from the creation to around 164 BCE (the year of the re-dedication of the Second Temple).
8 Αυγ 2024 · Prior to Abraham’s birth, the Bible timeline beginning in Genesis contains a rich history of creation, Adam and Eve, the Fall of Man, extensive genealogies, stories of human travails leading up to Noah and the Great Flood (date also unknown), and much more.
A biblical timeline allows us to see all of these stories and events in context, providing a clearer picture of the history of God's people. One of the earliest biblical timelines is found in Genesis 5, which traces the genealogy of Adam to Noah.
