4 Ιουν 2024 · Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a group of conditions in which there's pressure on blood vessels or nerves in the area between the neck and shoulder. This space is known as the thoracic outlet. Compression of the blood vessels and nerves can cause shoulder and neck pain. It also can cause numbness in the fingers.
Pain can happen because of: Tendinitis — inflammation of the rotator cuff tendons. Bursitis — inflammation of the bursa. Impingement — this happens because the space between the top of your shoulder (acromion) and the rotator cuff tendons becomes smaller when you raise your arm.
