What is meralgia paresthetica? Meralgia paresthetica is a medical condition that causes pain and sensations of aching, burning, numbness or stabbing in your thigh area. The condition results from compression (pressure on or squeezing) of your lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN).
