The weightbearing portion of the soles are most prominently involved (heel, toes, ball of foot). The vast majority of cases are asymptomatic.
To diagnose pitted keratolysis, a healthcare professional will typically examine the affected skin and inquire about the individual’s medical history and symptoms.
