Tipping Point Community is a non-profit organization committed to fighting poverty in the Bay Area for the 1.1 million people who don’t have the resources to meet their basic needs. We build community to advance the most promising poverty-fighting solutions.

Organizations are required to apply online through Buncombe County’s grant software, which can be accessed at buncombecounty.org/apply or linked through the Community Investment website at buncombecounty.org/grants. Applications are due by 5:00pm. Paper applications are available at 199 College Street, Asheville, NC 28802.

The Tipping Points Program provides small grants to help tip people towards financial self-sufficiency. The program was created in 2016 by Partners for Community Wellness, a network of people who partner with Dartmouth-Hitchcock to improve health and wellness in their communities.
We have three priority areas for funding: (1) targeted homelessness prevention, (2) supporting Black and Latinx San Franciscans at risk of or experiencing homelessness, and (3) accountability, data and transparency of the homelessness response system.
