A composition of Venus and Adonis by the Venetian Renaissance artist Titian has been painted a number of times, by Titian himself, by his studio assistants and by others. In all there are some thirty versions that may date from the 16th century, the nudity of Venus undoubtedly accounting for this popularity. [1]

Bacchus and Ariadne (1522–1523) [1] is an oil painting by Titian. It is one of a cycle of paintings on mythological subjects produced for Alfonso I d'Este, Duke of Ferrara, for the Camerino d'Alabastro – a private room in his palazzo in Ferrara decorated with paintings based on classical texts.
10 Ιουν 2003 · Titian. Tiziano is the most extensive exhibition devoted to the artist’s work since the one held in Venice in 1935, and the first monographic exhibition dedicated to his work in Spain. H.R.H. the Prince of Asturias and the vice-president of the Italian Government, Gianfranco Fini opened the exhibition on June the 9th.
Charles V commissioned The Glory from Titian during their meeting in Augsburg in 1550-51. The painting was completed in October 1554 and was sent to Brussels.
Titian renders the textures of his white gown and deep red mozzetta, or cape, with lively brushstrokes; their effortless appearance conceals the labor involved in the painter’s carefully crafted style. Titian portrayed Archinto when the latter occupied the diplomatic role of papal nuncio in Venice.
