Tiznow (foaled March 12, 1997 in California) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse best known for his wins in the Breeders' Cup Classic in 2000 and 2001, becoming the only horse to win this race twice.
20 Σεπ 2001 · Tiznow certainly has the pedigree to handle 1 1/4 miles, with a dosage index of 1.86. Two of his biggest wins have come in the Breeders' Cup Classic and Super Derby, both at 10 furlongs.
Tiznow is the first California-bred to have been voted American Horse of the Year honors since Swaps in 1956. At the time of his retirement, Tiznow was the all-time leading money-winner among California-breds. Tiznow's dramatic win in the 2000 Breeders' Cup Classic was voted as the National Thoroughbred Racing Association's "Moment of the Year."
