IMDb is owned and operated by the behemoth called Amazon, which isn't a massive point against the site.
So I tried IMDB and TMDB, and decided to compare the result of the 27 best rated movies in my library: - 17 movies are presents for the 2 services - 6 animated movies for TMDB, 1 for IMDB
Tmdb are specific people choosing to rate instead of IMDb. Typically people using Kodi/Plex etc, but also some that just don't want to use IMDb. So ratings will differ because if the type of people seeking out tmdb to do ratings.
