Death Certificates are available for all deaths in the State of Florida from 2009 to present. Any death prior to 2009 must be requested from the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville (address below), through VitalChek or by calling 1-877-550-7330.
4 Μαρ 2021 · The Bureau of Vital Statistics has implemented the e-Vitals Electronic Death Registration System (EDRS) across the state of Florida. The death certificate is a permanent legal record of the fact of death of a person.
Death certificates without the cause are available to anyone. However, a Florida Death Certificate with the cause of death is confidential and available only to the following: The Decedent's spouse, parent, child, grandchild, or sibling (if 18 years of age or older).
We are currently issuing Florida Death Certificates from 2009 to the present for all Florida counties. The cost for each certified copy is $10. Additional copies for same person are $5. In Florida, any person of legal age may order a Florida death certificate without cause of death.
