I've bought at least a dozen, if not 2 dozen, tix from TodayTix over the years. They're great for rush/lottery. For regular tix, you definitely have to compare it to prices offered on the show's website directly (and/or from the box office if that's an option for you).
Most of the time, yes. I've done a lot, a LOT of research for cheap and discounted tickets, and I've found Today Tix is pretty much superior to all other websites. For some shows though, especially Lincoln Center ones, they are much cheaper at the box office. It depends on what show you want to see.
Hey! I’ve been to shows before but it’s been a while and a lot has changed. I’m looking to see a show without spending too much. What is everyone’s experience with Today Tix? I’ve read some mixed reviews.

I've used today tix a couple of times now (both for shows in London and in New York), and I'm consistently impressed by the customer experience. Marika helped me when the system seemed unresponsive to my purchase attempt, and outlined a bunch of troubleshooting options so we managed to resolve the issue!
