Just had my tonsils removed (5 days post-op) and your post is excellent! I wish I would have read it before, as I went in a little blind and a little too optimistic. I'm a 31yo male with an above average pain tolerance. Day 0-1 wasn't bad at all. My surgery was at 0800 and I was home by 1030.
