26 Φεβ 2024 · Here are a few colleges known for their strong cycling teams, both club and varsity: 1. Marian University (Varsity) - Known for its dominant varsity cycling program, Marian has won numerous national championships across several disciplines, including road, track, and cyclocross.
Over 200 schools participate in the collegiate cycling club program, many of which are considered premier programs with history going back over 50 years. Teams that receive extra support from the school and in some cases, offer scholarships, are recognized as varsity program.
Every year, teams in both divisions are ranked according to the points they earn in the Team Omnium at each of the USA Cycling Collegiate National Championship events. Final Team Rankings are determined by totaling those points at the end of the academic year, following Road Nationals.
