Today, I’m going to discuss the top 30 MAME games of all time that you must play. To play games you need ROM files of the respective arcade/ console titles (it can even emulate stuff like NES or Genesis).

Rather than an enormous list that spans every arcade game in the last 30 years i'd rather focus on a "best of" collection of 50-150 games that I think are really worth playing. However, i've had trouble finding a good list of games available on mame that makes it easy to discern what I want to pick.
It's a bummer Gauntlet compatibility is broken on the latest versions (well, latest as up to January--haven't updated since then). I don't care to download full rom sets--it's a massive waste of bandwidth and space, so I haven't found a solution.

25 Μαΐ 2010 · Just looking for some some games, i made my cab with the intentions of playing a handful of games that i played when i was a kid. But now have the full set on there and have discovered some gems that i never had a chance to play. So just recommend games for me to play! maybe one day we can make a top 500 list or somthing.
Here is list of what I consider the best MAME games, so you don't have to try them all :) There is one with around 350, another one with the same games but split by category and a third list with just my Top 50. The rom names are from v263, so some might have changed since older versions.
