If you want to eat at La Pergola, Rome’s only three-Michelin star restaurant, you’re going to have to book up to four months ahead, but the panoramic view of Rome and the Vatican, in the direction of the setting sun, is worth it.
Dishes include artichokes (both Roman- and Jewish-style), pasta with rich local sauces, offal specialities (“quinto quarto”), and delicious roast meats among the main courses. For dessert, we recommend the chocolate “tenerina” cake or the ricotta with sour cherries.
