14 Νοε 2021 · The process of unplugging both ends of every cable and hitting it with some compressed air made my headset is detected again. The most likely loose culprit was a power cable that was plugged into the wall, which would explain why the visor icon stopped appearing in SteamVR.
18 Φεβ 2019 · Steam VR gives me error 108 and Vive set up cannot detect it. Sometimes device manager says Composite USB device with a warning triangle but says the most up to date drivers are already installed. Sometimes nothing shows up at all.
Yesterday I got the Standard Vive working perfectly, and then I try to start the Vive up today and it does not work. The SteamVR app says the headset is not detetced, with the error code (108). I've tried all the trouble shooting solutions, restarting rewiring etc that are found online.
This error indicates your headset cannot be detected over USB. As a first step, double check all your headset connections. Before following the additional steps below, unplug other USB devices and remove any adapters or extension cables you are using with your headset.
