  1. If you're getting oil leaks in the front of your engine it's either the crank or cam seal. Both would require removing the timing belt so you pretty much just buy both seals and do both at the same time.

  2. 6 Απρ 2020 · I would replace oil pump seals, oil pan seal, I would leave the timing chain cover seal if it’s not leaking, I just put a new motor in my truck and noticed putting the timing chain cover on that it was trying to eat into the head gasket. You might think about doing a valve adjustment.

  3. 14 Νοε 2004 · Step Eleven: Replace seal with new one. Place new rubber seal in grove using some engine oil to hold the seal in place. Step Twelve: Place oil pump cover back in place without moving seal out of its grove. Use new Philips bolts from Toyota to replace the old ones.

  5. 23 Οκτ 2018 · Replace the oil pump if you like or leave it. I replaced mine since it had 260 plus on the odo. When replacing the shaft seal there are some very important things to remember. First is not to mar the outside of the housing. This will cause you to need a new oil pump cover.

  6. 17 Φεβ 2020 · Product update, if anyone is interested - I purchased my oil pump seals from a local Toyota dealer. These were installed March 24, 2007 (unsure of mileage at the time - I estimate it was about 130k miles) and are still holding strong today at 260k miles.

  7. 18 Σεπ 2020 · The oil pump seal was a bit leaking, and after removing the oil pump I found the previous job from ~10 years ago had used the spaghetti rubber gasket and also smeared permatex grey around the seal. See pictures below.
