Technical Release 55 (TR-55) presents simplified procedures for estimating runoff and peak discharges in small watersheds. In selecting the appropriate procedure, consider the scope and complexity of the problem, the available data, and the acceptable level of error. While this TR gives special emphasis to urban
30 Νοε 2023 · WinTR-55 is a single-event rainfall-runoff small watershed hydrologic model. The model generates hydrographs from both urban and agricultural areas and at selected points along the stream system. Hydrographs are routed downstream through channels and/or reservoirs.
Technical Release 55 (TR-55) Urban Hydrology for Small Watersheds was first issued in January 1975 as a simplified procedure to calculate the storm runoff volume, peak rate of discharge, hydrographs and storage volumes required for storm water management structures (SCS, 1975).
The new WinTR-55 uses the WinTR-20 program as the driving engine for more accurate analysis of the hydrology of the small watershed system being studied. A final version (including programs, sample data, and documentation) is now complete. The NRCS WinTR-55 program and manuals can be downloaded from this NRCS link. WinTR-55 Hydrologic Model (NRCS)
HydroCAD is ideal for studies using the TR-20, TR-55, or SBUH methods. (Please visit the Hydrology Library for background information.) HydroCAD provides a wide range of standard hydrology and hydraulics techniques in an easy-to-use graphical form, managed by the on-screen routing diagram we pioneered in 1986.
This document provides an overview and tutorial of the WinTR-55 hydrologic modeling software. It describes WinTR-55's capabilities for modeling small urban watersheds using the NRCS TR-55 method, including its interface, inputs, outputs, and step-by-step process for creating and running a model.
