23 Μαΐ 2023 · In May 2023, the Task Force’s initial Recommendations Report was submitted to Governor DeWine. This report provides an overview of the Task Force’s work to recommend actionable solutions to improve the quality of care and quality of life provided at nursing homes throughout Ohio.
• The quality of Ohio’s nursing homes spans a wide spectrum with opportunities to raise the bar for quality of care and quality of life. • The definition of quality must keep pace with the evolving needs of residents, including the widespread need for dementia care.

29 Ιουλ 2020 · Mentoring programs for nurses already in the health workforce are growing in importance. Yet, the settings, goals, scale, and key features of these programs are not widely known. Objective. To identify and synthesize research on in-service nurse mentoring programs. Methods. We reviewed nurse mentoring research from six databases.
Each nursing home shall participate every two years in at least one quality improvement project, and in doing so, shall prioritize projects to assist with workforce, such as employee satisfaction surveys, enhanced recruitment methods, or workplace culture improvements.
Ohio ranks 39th in nursing-home quality, 46th for staffing levels, and 43rd on health inspections, according to recent data from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
