29 Ιουλ 2020 · The terms “health care deliver*” or “quality improvement” were added to narrow results to those focused on practice settings (in-service) rather than pre-service nursing education settings. This produced 3491 articles, of which 2546 unique studies were included for screening.
12 Αυγ 2021 · Quality improvement (QI) is used in nursing homes (NH) to implement and sustain improvements in patient outcomes. Little is known about how QI strategies are used in NHs. This lack of information is a barrier to replicating successful strategies.
While the theory of Mentoring up would benefit from testing and further refinement, including the perspective of the mentor, it is a strong starting point to provide a foundation for a critical professional responsibility in nursing.
WHAT IS MENTORING? Mentoring is a process of teaching, providing advice and emotional support, and nurturing and maintaining a rela-tionship that extends over time.1 The word mentor has its roots in Greek mythology.
Utilizing certified nursing assistants as quality improvement champions can increase participation in quality improvement projects and has the potential to improve job satisfaction and contribute to improve quality of care and improved patient outcomes in nursing homes.
Aim. To review quality improvement in care homes and identify quality improvement approach, process evaluation and resident outcomes. Findings. Seventy five articles were included which described a variety of quality improvement approaches and various methods of process evaluation addressing various clinical problems.
