20 Νοε 2022 · There are three Amtrak routes to choose from if you want to travel from Virginia to Florida by train: Auto Train, Silver Meteor and Silver Star. All three routes have coach seats and sleeper cars with private accommodations.
The Auto Train transports you and your car (or van, motorcycle, SUV, small boat, jet-ski or other recreational vehicle) nonstop from the Washington, DC area to Florida, just outside of Orlando. Map Schedule
Amtrak’s Auto Train is an overnight route between Virginia and Florida that allows passengers to take cars, motorcycles and some other special vehicles on the train for a fee (view requirements).
With more than 30 train routes throughout the United States, and some in Canada, Amtrak travels to over 500 destinations in 46 states, giving you the best views North America has to offer. Whether you want to visit big cities, small towns or places you can only see by rail, Amtrak can take you there.
Three Amtrak routes travel to Florida: Auto Train (which only stops in Sanford, Florida and in Lorton, Virginia), Silver Star and Silver Meteor. The Silver Meteor and Star routes travel along the East Coast from cities including New York City, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Richmond, Raleigh and Charleston, SC.

It is only possible to reach Florida on Amtrak from the east coast as there are no cross country routes that include stops in Florida. The Auto Train has only one stop in Sanford, Florida.
