Can changes to my diet help prevent or treat a peptic ulcer? Researchers have not found that diet and nutrition play an important role in causing, preventing, or treating peptic ulcers. Doctors do not recommend following a special diet or avoiding specific foods or drinks to prevent or treat ulcers.

8 Αυγ 2022 · Choice of therapy — All patients with peptic ulcers should receive antisecretory therapy with a proton pump inhibitor (PPI; eg, omeprazole 20 to 40 mg daily or equivalent) to facilitate ulcer healing (algorithm 1 and table 1).
