25 Ιουν 2019 · Recommendations for research. As part of the 2019 update, the guideline committee made 6 research recommendations on the management of pregnancy with chronic hypertension, pre-eclampsia, fetal monitoring, the use of antihypertensives in breastfeeding and advice and follow-up.
Aim to keep blood pressure lower than 150/100 mm Hg in pregnant women with uncomplicated chronic hypertension but do not lower diastolic blood pressure below 80 mm Hg. Schedule additional antenatal consultations on the basis of the woman and her baby’s needs.
The ACOG recommends antihypertensive therapy for women with preeclampsia and a sustained systolic BP ≥160 mm Hg and/or diastolic BP ≥110 mm Hg, and with chronic hypertension at a systolic BP ≥160 mm Hg or diastolic BP ≥110 mm Hg, with a treatment goal of 120–160/80–110 mm Hg. 2 Internationally the majority of hypertension societies ...
