From June 5-29, 2024, the Main Library will exhibit “The Art of Hope for the Flowers” in its gallery space. This exhibit showcases the art of Montclair’s Trina Paulus, author and 93-year-old environmental activist. An opening reception will take place on June 6 from 5:30-7:30 pm.
There is an exhibit of 36 large canvas panels of images of Trina’s artwork from the book, as well as an installation of over 60 handmade paper butterflies “flying” in the central clerestory space in the Oratory.

Hope For The Flowers Celebrates It's 50th Anniversary with over 4 million copies in print. 50 years ago in March of 1970 Trina was working on a different book about Hope. One day the two caterpillars on the cover seemed to ask for their own story. That day 90% of Hope for the Flowers was written.
