Our purpose is to promote Scouting in Stow by serving as the chartering organization for Troop 1 Stow (B), Troop 1 Stow (G), Cub Scout Pack 39, and Assabet Valley Venture Crew 1923, and by volunteering time, experience, and knowledge to our Scouting members.
Troop 1 Stow was formed in 1912, organized by the Reverend Claude Calkins of the Union Evangelical Church. Eleven boys signed up to participate in the Scouting program in Stow under the first official troop sponsor, the Stow Civic Club.

Troop One Stow Alumni, Incorporated (TOSA) is a registered 501c3 charitable corporation dedicated to advancing and promoting Scouting in the town of Stow, Massachusetts. TOSA has more than 100 members across the US, but is headquartered in Stow, Massachusetts (of course).
