Pre-Alerting your package on your Customer Portal is easy and will allow us to provide Customs with precise information so that your Customs Duty, VAT and OPT charges would be more accurate, and you are not overcharged unnecessarily.
As a reminder, we want to emphasize that since 2020, Tropical Express has introduced our Pre-Alert feature through our Website and Portal. This allows our members to proactively declare their package specifics and upload invoices in advance, streamlining the customs clearance process.
Upon receipt of packages at our Miami address, we will take care of the rest, its reception, international transportation, customs clearance, etc. When the package reaches Miami you’d receive via email an alert that your package has been received.

As soon as you get your tracking number, it's best to Pre-Alert immediately preferably from your desktop. It is recommended to upload actual invoices with tracking number present.
Yes, you can track your packages on our Website or Facebook Page at any time by using your Tropical Express box number. Tropical Express would send the customer e-mail notifications/ pre-alerts when the package has reached Miami, when it’s in transit to Trinidad and when it is ready for pick-up.
