- TSI Exemptions
The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a program designed to help ensure that all students enrolled in a Texas public colleges and universities possess the academic skills needed to be successful in college-level course work.
The TSI Assessment uses computer-adaptive testing technology to select specific test questions that are best suited for each particular test taker. Questions will increase or decrease in difficulty level depending on how the student responds.

You may take the TSI Assessment (TSIA2) at any Texas public college or university. If you prefer to take it at Texas A&M University, visit testing.tamu.edu to find out more information about scheduling a test.
Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Assessment. The TSI Assessments measure college readiness in reading, writing, and math. The scores are used for college placement purposes. Examinees take a placement test of 20-25 items per section.
