My first form 1 took 70 days. My last form 1 took 30 days. Submitted 10/6, approved 11/7. I submitted 2 on 1/14 and 3 on 1/15 and haven't heard a peep. Used fingerprint cards and signature required delivery on all of them. There's no reasonable method on approval times that I can tell.
9 Φεβ 2022 · Your 10 business day deadline to send in your FD-258 fingerprint cards into the ATF starts after they have sent you the second email with your cover letter. In summation, if your eForm 1 is pending research this isn’t an issue.
18 Ιουλ 2023 · I have three braced pistols (actually four but one was already SBR'd), and before the whole ATF brue-ha-ha over braces, I had actually planned to SBR them to add solid stocks, vertical grips, etc. So I decided to take advantage of the free Form-1 and submitted on March 21st under the Final Rule fee waiver.
I'm at 118 days on a form 1 (trust) and 91 days on a form 4 (also trust), both are still in that pending status.
15 Φεβ 2020 · I just submitted another Form 1 last night, this time an SBR using a Spikes Lower. Again, in their database and it went to Submitted right away and emailed me my cover letter. Next week, it will arrive.

The ATF says on their site that a form 1 could take up to 90 days. I personally waited until that 90 day mark to contact my rep, but you could do it at the 45 day mark or something if you wanted to since anything over 30 is kind of abnormal. Mine was a trust with 2 RP though.
