Tug of War International Federation
You may recall a game of Tug of War from summer camp or gym class, but you don’t need a flock of campers or a full classroom to play this ancient childhood game of strength and strategy! It is just as fun with 2 kids, or with 22. It’s also a fun game idea for family reunions and birthday parties.
This guide covers all the basic principles around the sport that should be understood before, during and after a tug of war exercise. This guide is not exhaustive, however should you need any further guidance, then this can be gained by contacting the Tug of War Association. Why Tug of War?

Here are the detailed rules for playing tug of war: Tug of war is a classic team competition where two teams pull on opposite ends of a rope, aiming to pull the other team across a designated line or marker.
Basic Tug of War Rules . The Rope . The game involves usage of single equipment i.e. a rope. There is a red mark made in the middle of the rope.
