18 Αυγ 2023 · The Turpan-Hami or Tuha Basin is situated in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, covering an area of around 48,000 km2. Oil production from the basin peaked in 2000, and has been in steady decline. Gas production followed a similar pattern, peaking in 2006 and is since declining.
