23 Σεπ 2024 · Free Fees Initiative. Under the Free Fees Initiative, Ireland’s Higher Education Authority pays tuition fees for eligible students straight to the university. To qualify for it, you must meet these criteria: You've resided in an EU/EEA/Swiss state or the United Kingdom for at least three of the five previous years.
In Ireland, the tuition fees for different courses vary depending on factors such as the level of study and the university or institution you choose. Undergraduate programmes for non-EU students typically range from €10,000 to €25,000 per year, while the postgraduate courses can cost between €12,000 and €30,000 annually.
Students from both the Ireland and the UK will be considered home students in each country. Students from the UK and NI can apply and may be eligible for the EU free fees scheme (covering Tuition fees). More information can be found on our fees page here.
