The inaugural meeting of the Border Collie Club of Great Britain took place on the 6th August, 1973. 45 years on, the club remains the premier Border Collie breed club in the UK.
Breed Championship Show . Sat 26th October 2024. My grateful thanks to the committee of the club, who have supported me throughout my judging career, for awarding me my first ticket appointment. I was well looked after by all, and thoroughly enjoyed my day.
Our events are held in the West of England, but you do not need to live in the west of England to become a member. All are welcome. The first Championship breed show was held in 2002 and is now an annual event, along with open breed Show.

Lifetime Achievement Awards recognise four decades of success in Border Collies. Issue: 24/04/2020. The awards were presented in a surprise ceremony by club Treasurer Nik Knight (back left) and Chair Pete Simmons. Joanna Lake read citations listing some of their incredible achievements.
