Wowwwww this takes me back. TWOP was great. I loved the Amazing Race recaps they did. And yes, I obsessively read every single Lost post.
Television Without Pity (often abbreviated TWoP) was a website that provided detailed recaps of select television dramas, situation comedies and reality TV shows along with discussion forums. These recaps were written with sarcastic criticism and opinion alongside a retelling of an episode's events, which the site referred to as "snark".

The forums at TWOP were my first online community so definitely a soft spot for them. But the TAR forums were tough. Miss Allie ran that place like a cult. If she didn’t like a team, she was horribly toxic and negative and really problematic and she would shut down any conversations in opposition.

Back in 2001, when I first watched TAR, Television Without Pity was THE site for recaps. The ones for The Amazing Race are incredible. Miss Alli (Linda Holmes from The Pop Culture Happy Hour on NPR) was the main writer and mod of the TWoP TAR forums.
28 Ιαν 2024 · In 2014, the owners of TWOP announced they were shutting down the websites and forums. After a few fans objected, they agreed to keep the episode reviews online in archive mode. The forums, however, hundreds of thousands of fan discussions, were to be deleted.
