25 Νοε 2024 · Hazardous Materials Business Plan | EH&S Specialist – Responsible for the development and maintenance of HMBP maps and environmental inspections to support UC San Diego’s industrial relations, public safety, hazardous materials and environment protection programs.

Program specialists inspect facilities that generate hazardous waste, evaluate hazardous waste generating industries, investigate reports of illegal hazardous waste disposal, and respond to emergency spills of hazardous chemicals.
Manage contacts, personnel, and lab locations. View safety authorizations and lab audits. (Only available to PI and EH&S Lab Contacts.) Identify hazards and personal protective equipment (PPE) to be used. Manage your hazardous chemicals and associated Hazard Control Plans (HCPs).
What should you do if an inspector shows up to inspect your department? Ask for identification. The inspector must ask for permission from a management representative to conduct the inspection. Call (858) 534-3660 and inform EH&S of the impending inspection.
