Also, if the device doesn't support the higher resolution, Vudu will provide it in a lower resolution. UHD = 3840x2160 pixels HD = 1920x1080 pixels SD = 720x480 pixels 674 UHD 804 HDX 5 SD
I completely understand if it's the only option, but like in the screen shot I took, there are 3 options, why would anyone choose sd over uhd when they have the three options (or two if it's sd and hdx) at the same price?

If I own an SD copy of a movie in my library and I want to upgrade it to an HD version (or an HD to a 4k/UHD version), will it automatically upgrade if I add a new higher definition code? Do I need to remove the old version first in order to upgrade? Any info is appreciated.
Do you purchase all available movies in 4K or HD when applicable or do you chose to purchase some in SD? Is it based on personal preference or is there actually a huge difference in picture quality between SD and HD.
