The Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) provides food assistance for individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Ian and who are not receiving food assistance benefits through the regular Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
People who are eligible have 60 days to apply for this help. This assistance lasts for 26 weeks after the disaster. Depending on the declaration date, it is possible for people to receive more than 26 weeks of benefits. To qualify, you need to have used up all your regular unemployment benefits.
Reemployment Assistance benefits, also known as unemployment compensation, provides temporary assistance to qualified people who are out of work through no fault of their own. Use the Reconnect system to apply for these benefits online. All people who apply for benefits are called claimants and must have a Reemployment Assistance account.
