Log in to Cardinal Apps with your UIW email and password. Open the Canvas LMS app or ABSN Canvas app if teaching in the ABSN program. Instructors get Canvas course access by being listed as the instructor of record in Banner or by invitation through a colleague.
Canvas is your Learning Management System (LMS) at The University of the Incarnate Word. Throughout your academic coursework at UIW, you'll use Canvas to access course syllabi, assignments, discussion posts, files, meetings, and more.

How do UIW users access Canvas? A user must have UIW credentials to access Canvas. When a new student is accepted to UIW through Admissions, or staff and faculty are hired through Human Resources, they'll receive communications providing them access to Cardinal Apps.
Student Portal (Cardinal Apps) In order to keep things simple, we have deployed technologies that enabled Single Sign-On (SSO). You can use your university email and password to sign in to all the different applications you might need. Launch Cardinal Apps
Visit the Canvas Browser and Computer Requirements Guide to check your device. For most, Canvas is accessed through Cardinal Apps using your UIW email and password. Unique situations exist for a few programs, including ABSN and continuing education programs.
