  1. Symptoms. Cubital tunnel syndrome can cause an aching pain on the inside of the elbow. Most of the symptoms, however, occur in your hand. Numbness and tingling in the ring finger and little finger are common symptoms of ulnar nerve entrapment. Often, these symptoms come and go.

  2. Symptoms. Symptoms of Cubital Tunnel Syndrome often include numbness and tingling in the ring and little fingers, which may be intermittent and exacerbated when the elbow is bent, such as during sleep. Poor coordination and a weakened grip are common, making everyday activities like holding objects or typing challenging.

  3. Your ulnar goes through a tunnel of tissues called the cubital tunnel, which travels under a bony bump on the inside of your elbow called the medial epicondyle. The space is narrow, and there's only a little tissue protecting it. That spot is where your ulnar nerve is most vulnerable.

  4. Cubital tunnel syndrome causes pain that feels a lot like the pain you feel when you hit the "funny bone" in your elbow. The "funny bone" in the elbow is actually the ulnar nerve, a nerve that crosses the elbow. The ulnar nerve starts in the side of your neck and ends in your fingers.

  5. Cubital tunnel syndrome is compression or traction of the ulnar nerve at the elbow. Symptoms include elbow pain and paresthesias in the ulnar nerve distribution. Diagnosis is suggested by symptoms and signs and supported by nerve conduction studies. Treatments include splinting and sometimes surgical decompression.

  6. The ulnar nerve passes across the elbow on the medial (inside) side. It lies very near to the medial ulnar collateral ligament. As it crosses the elbow joint, it enters a small tunnel referred to as the cubital tunnel. This tunnel is made up of bone on one side and ligament on the other.

  7. Cubital tunnel syndrome is compression or irritation of the ulnar nerve in a tunnel on the inside of the elbow (where your 'funny bone' is). The ulnar nerve provides sensation to the little finger and part of the ring finger, and power to the small muscles within the hand. What are the causes?
