Known as “the city beneath the city,” Underground Atlanta has been the cultural heart of Downtown Atlanta since the 1900s. From basement speakeasies to the annual Peach Drop (where an 800-pound peach is dropped from the top of a building to ring in the new year), this arts, entertainment, and retail district has seen it all.

Bordered by Pryor, Central, Wall, and Alabama Streets and connected to the Five Points MARTA, Underground Atlanta is a central, accessible space that will house local retailers and restaurants, residential, entertainment and exhibition spaces and galleries with a special focus on immersive art experiences.

11 Αυγ 2021 · For now, an Underground student housing and residential component are in permitting phases, and a Banksy art exhibit will debut in early September. Underground is also offering hourlong public tours the first Saturday of each month through the end of 2021, with proceeds benefitting Atlanta Mission.
