  1. Transfer Credit Prior Approval. This form is an agreement between the University and the student that establishes in advance the transferability of a course(s). Rules and Regulations: A grade of “C” or better is required for each course accepted (including University System of New Hampshire Institutions).

  2. The prior approval form is an agreement between the University and the student to establish in advance the number of credits to be accepted in transfer, and the General Education, Discovery and/or major requirement satisfied by the course, provided the student completes the contracted course.

  3. Students who are interested in taking coursework a t another institution should complete a Transfer Credit Prior Approval form. This is the only official system to have courses reviewed for potential credit transfer.

  4. Current students must submit the Transfer Credit Prior Approval Form to the Registrar's Office for an initial review. Students will then obtain both their academic advisor and Dean's signature on the form.

  5. Transfer credit is awarded for courses that have been completed with a grade of C or better at another institution accredited by an accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, provided those courses are comparable to courses offered at the University of New Hampshire.
